Step 5: Sewing the Body

Sew the body

 

1. Lining up midpoints, stitch together body panel (A2) and the body zipper/gusset panel along the top and bottom of body panel, right sides together.
*Ensure your zipper is facing the way you want it to.

Stitch **Start and stop seam ½” from the edge**

 

 

 

 

 

2. Snip seam allowance on zipper panel at all four corners where your stitches end, avoiding the body panel.

 

 

 
3. Line up one strap stabilizer to the top of the body panel, so that it is sandwiched between the body panel and zipper/gusset panel.

 

 

4. Stitch side seam, reinforcing at the corners by stitching back and forth.

 

 

 

5. Repeat on other side.
