Pattern: The Lara Top by Ernili.crochet
Yarn: Suri and Huacaya Alpaca - Blackbird Hills Farm (Springfield, OH)
Level: Beginner
I crocheted my first piece!
For a beginner, I’d say this pattern was a breeze. Mind you, I had practiced my stitches ahead of time. The only hurdle I hit was that I started decreasing the front panels too soon because I wanted to keep the triangle look - but they ended up hardly covering my boobs. However, I also accidentally made the initial bottom row slightly too long which allowed me to overlap the panels in the front and feed my tie through one side to create a wrap style - which brought back some coverage!
The original pattern calls for sleeves, which I would like to add, but I ran out of time for this project and I felt like I had learned enough new methods for one make. I might add sleeves later on, but my arm holes ended up a little larger than anticipated.
Overall: 10/10 recommend and will definitely be making again!
